South Carolina continues to be an underrated state of talent, as we continue to find prospects for college programs year after year.  We had an opportunity to check out more names from the state at the Phenom Rise Showcase, and Team USC EYCL offered plenty of that.  Though we will be learning more about this team and its players, three prospects in the Class of 2025 grabbed our attention immediately and should be on the radars of many.

2025 Abijah Franklin, 2025 Jaden Priester, and 2025 LJ Britt all bring a unique aspect to the game, and all could be key pieces for college programs. The time is now to learn about them, as we expect each to see an uptick in their recruitment.

2025 6’4 Abijah Franklin

“It’s clear that 6’4 ‘25 Abijah Franklin (Team USC EYCL) has the makings of a notable prospect. Smart, skilled, explosive guard with positional size and a dynamic game. Wreaking havoc defensively, creating for others, and getting whatever he wants as a scorer.”

He currently holds an offer from South Carolina State and has been receiving more interest his way. From what we saw, Franklin is a D1 guard who should see an uptick in his recruitment.

2025 6’7 Jaden Priester

“Easy to see the intrigue & upside of 6’7 2025 Jaden Priester (Team USC EYCL). Long, mobile forward. Lefty with a soft touch. Understands his role. Puts himself in the right positions to be successful. Utilizes length to alter shots defensively.”

2025 6’3 LJ Britt

“6’3 ‘25 LJ Britt (Team USC EYCL) is a versatile, physically overwhelming piece. Capable initiator and strong penetrating threat. Built like a tank and plays through contact on both ends of the floor. Reliable defender and rebounder.”

Britt holds an offer from Rice and South Carolina State, and should only continue to garner interest from a variety of levels.
