2026 Ian Bailey from Asheville Christian has certainly been a name on the rise over the last year or so, and now with him heading into the summer with Team Curry, Bailey is hoping to really showcase his talent. This is a guard that has a tremendous feel for the game, plays with a high IQ, can score as well as facilitate, and plays at a natural pace.  It seems like the game slows down for him with him reading the court and being that playmaker, as he has been showing that this summer early on for Team Curry 16u.

Phenom Hoops caught up with Bailey about some of the latest, his thoughts heading into the summer, and also about his most recent offer from Stetson. See what he had to say.

Phenom: Well, what is your focus this summer with you game?
Bailey: My focus this summer for my game is improving my defense and just continuing to improve on my shooting and being able to set up my teammates on a consistent basis.

Phenom: What have schools been saying they like about your game?
Bailey: Schools have said that they like how I operate out of pick and roll situations and know how to play within an offense. They have also said they like how I can create for myself and others.

Phenom: What offers do you hold now?
Bailey: I had received an offer from Western Carolina last summer, but Coach Gray went to Coastal and I haven’t heard from the new staff yet, so as of right now just the offer from Stetson.

Phenom: What other schools have shown interest?
Bailey: High Point has shown some interest lately. I was able to get on a call with them and they want me to come up for a visit. Stetson also wants me to come down for a visit soon. Besides that, I haven’t had any contact with coaches, but a couple of other schools have been following me on social media and watching my livestreams. Hoping to get in contact with some more schools after June 15th.
