Player: MJ Bain
Class: 2030
AAU: Team Hustle

There are times when Phenom Hoops gets a chance to watch a young rising star at our events and this past weekend at the Phenom Hoop State Finale, there was a young prospect that captured multiple scouts’ eyes with his play.

2030 MJ Bain from Team Hustle 2030 National was a young prospect that grabbed the attention of both Patrick O’Brien and Tyler Lewis at the event, as he is just starting his story but showcased an early feel that could make him a name down the road.

“Really liked what I saw and the promise in 2030 MJ Bain (Hustle 2030 National). Tremendous early length, uses it effectively on both sides, can alter shots defensively, and score inside well.”

“2030 MJ Bain (Team Hustle) has tons of upside & potential stock riser as a player who could make a lot of noise in NC as he continues to develop. Showcased the ability to score from all 3 levels. Impacts the game defensively with length & athleticism.”

Bain has tremendous length and size for a player his age, and he was consistently a presence on both sides of the ball. He finished well and remained active offensively in the paint and on the boards, and understands early on how to use his length to impact the game defensively.  Game after tame, he was racking up double-digit performances to help lead his team, as he showed early flashes of a player to watch down the road.
