Moving out to California, 2025 Semetri Carr should be a name to watch out for, as MCAL Player of the Year out in California is garnering more attention and adding more to his offer list. The 6’1 point guard helped lead Branson School to a 22-7 record this year, and has been shining bright on the big stage, and schools are taking notice. He recently added a big offer from Stanford, and now holds double-digit offers with more interest coming.

Phenom Hoops was able to connect with Carr to talk more about his successful season, learn more about his game, his thoughts on the Stanford offer, and who else has been coming his way.

Phenom: How was everything this past season for you and your team?
Carr: Everything was good. We won our league title after an undefeated season and then made it to the CIF open division bracket in California.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game and how you like to operate? Where do you flourish?
Carr: I would say I’m a well-rounded guard who can do a bit of everything and will do whatever it takes to win. I play on the ball since I’m a good decision-maker and playmaker, but also play off the ball as I’m a knockdown shooter. I flourish when I’m able to get out in space, using my speed and getting my defenders playing on their heels.

Phenom: What areas of your game have you been working on to develop?
Carr: I’ve been working on ball screen reads and just been in the weight room getting stronger overall.

Phenom: What are your thoughts on your latest offer? What did the staff have to say, who has been your main contact, and what all do you know about them?
Carr: I was super excited about Stanford, mainly talking to coach Wayne Hunter. I know they are in the ACC now and have great academics as well.

Phenom: What other offers do you hold? And who has been strong with you from those?
Carr: Sacramento State, Seattle, UNLV, Washington, Washington St, San Jose St, Wichita St, USD, CSUN, and Stanford.

Phenom: What other schools have been showing interest that have yet to offer?
Carr: Creighton and New Mexico have shown interest.

Phenom: What schools have you been able to visit? If so, what did you like about each?
Carr: I took a visit to Washington and liked the school spirit and town the school was in. They produce pros.

Phenom: Any schools you want to visit or any visits you have set up in the future?
Carr: I would like to visit Stanford soon.
