The Phenom Grassroots TOC is this weekend in Rock Hill/Fort Mill, as it is the first LIVE Period with Phenom Hoops this season. The talent pool runs deep throughout and we want to give college coaches a leg up on who to watch and who will be in action. Here are a few players to check out for each team, presented by the head coach.

NC Spartans 16u Liles

Player Name: Kaleb Roope
Class: 2024
Position: SG/PG
Game Review: Kaleb is what you call a pure confident shooter. He doesn’t hesitate to let it go with a deep rang. Kaleb is good at setting up the offense and attacking the rim to create for others and finish at the room. Kaleb can defend very well in man and zone. Quick feet and long arms makes him a nightmare on both sides of the ball.

Player Name: David Gray
Class: 2024
Position: PG/SG
Game Review: Quick left hard guard that is very balanced. David can attack and create for himself and others. David can shoot the ball off the catch and dribble. David straps up on defense. Having quick hands and feet. David is very aggressive and has given teams trouble matching up.

Player Name: MJ Edwards
Class: 2024
Position: PG/SG
Game Review: MJ is one of the smallest guys usually on the court but has the fight of a lion. MJ is extremely quick on both ends of the floor. MJ is really good at being the floor general on both ends. Calling offense and defense based on what he sees/feels. MJ can attack and create for others, let alone shoot the ball very well. MJ can turn the defender multiple times before stealing the ball and going to finish.

Player Name: Zamarie Jenkins
Class: 2024
Position: PF/SF
Game Review: Zamarie is a silent ascension. Very touch and physical player. Will step out and shoot the deep ball on offense, sets really good on and off ball screens, and always finds himself in position for second chance opportunities. Defensive end, Z has very quick feet and long arms. Can switch 1-5. Always box’s out and will step up and take a charge.

Player Name: Aidan Cauthen
Class: 2024
Position: PF/SF/C
Game Review: Aidan can wear and play multiple hats due to his size and skill package. Aidan is forward first then stretch post if needed. Aidan can shoot the ball from deep and always find himself in the right spot for second chance oppouritnes. Aidan is very long and causes a lot of problems on the defensive end by contesting shots and being able to rebound. AIdan always makes the hustle plays and is a team player.
