Game 1

Long Island Lutheran 82 – La Lumiere 65

Stats:
Luhi: VJ Edgecombe 21pts, 11rebs, 8asts, 3stls / Kayden Mingo 20pts, 5rebs, 7asts / Nigel James 18pts
LaLu: Jerry Easter II 18pts, 5rebs/ Melvin Bell 10pts / Steve Solano 10pts

Standouts:

2025 Jerry Easter (La Lumiere): Every time I get a chance to watch this young man, I come away impressed with his ability to be an instant scoring presence on the court. He creates really well and plays bigger than listed at 6’4. Easter does a nice job in getting downhill and attacking, finding ways to score around opponents and get to the rim.

2025 Kayden Mingo (LuHi) Each time I watch this guard in action, the more and more I really like his game. Plays under control, makes good reads and sees the floor, finds the open spots on the floor and has a confident release from multiple levels on the floor. His game continues to rise and elevate, as he not only can make plays for himself but also for others on the court.

2024 VJ Edgecombe (LuHi): Edgecombe is such a talent and it is easy to see why he is one of the top players in the country. He is so explosive on the court, including multiple impressive dunks. But he can score in so many ways, inside and out, create off the dribble, and is one who simply knows how to fill up the stat sheet. Whether it is scoring, rebounding, facilitating, or making his presence defensively, he just does it all on the court.

Game 2

Oak Hill 75 – Orangeville Prep 71

Stats:
OH: Kaden Magwood 20pts / Christian Anderson 15pts, 7rebs, 9asts, 5stls
OP: Elijah Duval 28pts, 5asts/ Owen Kenney 15pts

Standouts:

2025 Kaden Magwood (Oak Hill): Magwood led the charge offensively, really looking and searching for his shot as he knocked down shots from multiple levels. He got to his spots from outside, going 4-for-7 from behind the arc as well as creating off the dribble. Really showcased his scoring impact.

2024 Christian Anderson (Oak Hill): Anderson is known for his scoring impact, showing deep range but it was his overall impact on the court. He was able to score the ball at times and knock down shots, but he was active both on the boards, finding teammates, and being active on the defensive end in creating steals. Really filled up the stat sheet for his team in the win.

2025 Elijah Duval (Orangeville Prep): Duval was sensational in attacking the defense and the basket, as he led all scorers with 28 points. He continues to flourish as a scoring guard, finishing and creating strong, attacking out in transition, and making strong moves to be that playmaker. Really effective scorer in this game for his team.

Game 3

Wasatch 90 – IMG Academy 77

Stats:
Wasatch: Isiah Harwell 22pts, 14rebs, 7asts/ John Mobley 18pts, 6asts / Fischer Brown 18pts
IMG: Donavan Freeman 27pts, 6rebs / Darius Acuff 22pts, 6rebs, 5asts / Khani Rooths 17pts

Standouts:

2025 Isiah Harwell (Wasatch): Harwell, a 5-star guard, showed why he is regarded as one of the top players in the country. A proven scorer that was on display once again, as he plays with tremendous confidence in his ability to create for himself, knock down shots from all levels, but also impressed with his length to not only score as well as rebound. Also made some terrific passes, but continues to show why he is one of the best scoring guards in the country.

2025 Darius Acuff (IMG Academy): Acuff was the other guard that put on a show in leading his team, going for 20+ points and rising up to knock down shots from the perimeter but also attacking and getting inside the defense. He shot the ball well and with a fluid motion from behind the arc, but also didn’t settle. He holds offers from all over the country and he showed why.

2025 Augustine Ekwe (Wasatch): Ekwe was effective and productive in his time on the court. Finished with a double-double, being strong inside and really effective, finishing 8-for-10 from the field, while also being strong on the boards with 10 boards as well.

2024 Donavan Freeman (IMG Academy): The Syracuse commit has continued his strong play as of late, and he ended up leading his team in scoring with 27 points. He can attack and knock down shots off the dribble, create to get to his spots, use his size well and be comfortable with his jumper, and score from multiple areas on the floor. Really showed he can be a tough matchup and should be an exciting future player for the Cuse.
