What a night it was for the state of North Carolina basketball… storylines could be found all over the place from what took place on Tuesday night in the NCHSAA playoffs.  But the main storyline for everyone should be the show that 2024 Isaiah Evans put on vs. Chambers, as North Meck continues to play in the 4A playoffs.

The number to remember: 62

That is how many points 2024 Isaiah Evans went off for against Chambers.  Evans was the talk of the state, and reached national attention again with his shooting display, as he continues to prove that he is one of the top players in the country and one of the best scorers throughout.

Evans is such an elite scorer on the court at his size and length, and you can see his confidence continues to grow day after day.  And one of the biggest factors that he has in his game, is that he simply has a different mindset than others.  He is showing just how prolific of a scorer he is on the court, getting whatever and whenever he wants on the court, scoring all three levels, and continuing to want the ball in his hands.  But he has shown that for quite some time now when we first talked about him nearly two years ago.

In all honesty, Phenom Hoops was one of the first to really recognize what could be with Evans.  He checked a lot of boxes early on, showed that tough mentality, and the biggest question is what he ultimately could be at the end of his high school career.  And what is scary today… is that the last question still remains today.  What could he be by the end of his high school career' There are still factors in his game and frame that could continue to change, which makes him an even scarier prospect.

62 points though… what a night to remember for Evans.

And we suggest, if you haven't checked out or learned the name yet here in North Carolina, start jumping on board because Evans is proving why he is one of the top players in the country, and why he has a chance to play at the highest level.
