Back in 2022, Phenom Hoops was introduced to then 2024 Cam Miles as he was playing with Team MOAM at the time.  He was an intriguing player to watch with his game and caught our eyes with what he provided.  We had this to say about him then:

“Miles was another prospect that filled up the stat sheet.  He showed that he is a smooth point guard who can create and get to the basket but also knock down shots.  He did a great job in creating for himself, showing his aggression in getting to the basket, but also did a terrific job in finding his teammates, and making sensational, on-target passes as well.  Add on top of his ability to get on the boards and make some plays on the defensive end, Miles really opened some eyes to what he could be at the next level.”

We watched him again recently as well with Arizona Compass, where we had this to say:

“A new player on the team, Miles will certainly be one who can help this team in a big way. He started out strong with his shooting from behind the arc, with a quick release, and with a ton of confidence. But he also settled down to create and attack and get out in transition as well. Miles will be able to fit in right away with this team, and more coaches should be looking his way.”

Phenom Hoops caught up with Miles to check in on him, learn more about his thoughts on his new journey, and also get an update on his recruitment, as he earned an offer from Arizona State recently and new interests are coming his way.

Phenom: How has Arizona Compass been so far for you?
Miles: AZ has been really nice. The coaching staff and teammates have been awesome. I’m adjusting pretty well here.

Phenom: You received your latest offer from Arizona State. Thoughts on that offer?
Miles: I thought it was a great offer, knowing the history of Arizona State and the previous players that have played there. I am grateful for the offer.

Phenom: How long have they been expressing interest?
Miles: They saw me in practice and liked the way I played, and then ultimately offered me.

Phenom: What other schools have been reaching out?
Miles: As of late, I have talked to Georgia, Florida, Santa Clara, and San Francisco.

Phenom: Any schools you would like to visit down the road?
Miles: Right now, I am just focusing on the season. My family and I will talk about visits soon and start to plan it out.
