We kicked off the championship weekend with a thriller between two terrific teams, as Northside Christian and Cresset Christian battled it out with Cresset coming home with a championship.  Ultimately winning 48-45, this is a highly intriguing team to keep an eye on and this could just be the start of something special.

Already a special season walking away with a title, this is such a unique team with how this roster is made up that you have to start thinking about the future as well. First off, huge congrats to the Eagles for finishing the season 20-2 and with a state title, proving to be one of the top teams in the state. But if you don’t know about this team is that they are mostly made up of freshmen, with their top four scorers on the roster all in the Class of 2027. Trinity Jefferson has led the way this season with an impressive 19.2ppg, along with being an impact on both sides of the ball while 2027 Kyndoll English wasn’t far behind at 19.0ppg and being an impact on the boards as well.

2027 Jada Bryant (14.0ppg) and 2027 Lamyiah Jarrett (13.4ppg) also were huge presences this season but helped bring a balanced offensive attack to the court. This is a team that has played at a high level and this is a team that could have this same group for three more years. Cresset Christian showcased that they can be an offensive juggernaut but strong in so many other areas of the court. And the fact we could see this same outcome even more in the coming years, this could just be the start of something special.
