One team that we were certainly excited about seeing once again was 1of1 Academy, a team that we have seen quite a bit over the season but it is always fun to see the development of the players with this team.  When you talk about this team though, there is plenty of talent that you will be hearing about in the upcoming classes, as well as a few veterans that have shined as well.

But when you dive into just how young this team is, and the level that they are playing at this season, you have to be impressed with how these youngsters have stepped up and accepted the challenge, which is why we are going to dive into the roster a bit more.

One of the lone veterans on the team is 2024 Sebastian Akins, who came up BIG on Day 1 at the Phenom Prep Showcase. Akins is a 6’1 guard that possesses a well-rounded game but can elevate to another level when needed. He is able to showcase his balance in managing the team, but also score in a variety of ways when needed; he is a tough guard.

And now heading into the Class of 2025 for this team, you have to start with the bigs. 2025 Gevonte Ware is a name that you will be hearing more about, as he has the size at 6'9 already, is strong on the boards, and does a great job carving out space and finishing through contact. Alongside him, you have a player that I think will only continue to flourish in 2025 6'7 Taye Smith, who is incredibly strong, makes his presence felt offensively and defensively, and continues to develop. Then you start looking at the guards for this team; 2025 Isaiah Denis is a long prospect that can knock down shots all over the court, 2025 Kobe Broome is a 6'1 guard that can create off-the-bounce or showcase range, and 2025 Christian Wilkins does a great job in getting to his spots and knocking down shots without always being the focal point offensively.

And then in the Class of 2026, the talent should have plenty of national attention as well. 2026 Yohance Connor is one we have spoken about with his motor, his energy, his defensive presence, and how relentless he is in attacking offensively. 2026 LJ Rush may be one of the top point guards around with his speed, court presence, ability to push in transition, and getting into the paint. 2026 Jeremiah Jackson is their sniper from deep, as he shows a limitless range and a ton of confidence from the outside. And then you have a developing big man in 2026 6'6 Isaiah Williams who shows promise and flashes of his potential down around the basket.
