New Names Stepping Up for West Charlotte

We had a great chance to check out West Charlotte at the event, and this is a team that will be looking a little different than last year as players will be looking to step up. 2024 Damani Day is a familiar name and veteran who should help lead the charge, but West Charlotte has two freshmen who will have an opportunity to showcase their talent. 2027 AC Pressley and 2027 CC Coleman are two talented players to watch out for and though young, West Charlotte will be looking for them to make some noise.

Carson Will Have a Dynamic Young Duo

We have talked about this topic before and it was apparent once again at the Jamboree, as Carson has two freshmen that many will be hearing about a lot more this season. 2027 CP Perry and 2027 Jacob Mills aren't afraid of the spotlight, and these are two high IQ guards that can fill it up as young prospects. Perry has a tremendous feel and understanding of the game and plays more like a veteran than a freshman. Mills can light it up from behind the arc, as he has a ton of confidence from behind the arc.' These two will be leaders from Day 1.

Central Cabarrus Looking for a Title Once Again

With Central Cabarrus coming in, you knew what you were going to get; this is a team that is locked and loaded in hopes of making another run at a state title.' And they proved that early and often at the event, as 2024 Carson Daniel and 2024 Chase Daniel led the way and others had this team clicking on all levels.' There is no doubt it, this is a team that has all it needs in hopes of another state championship, and they are ready even during the preseason jamboree.

New Names but Concord Academy Still Dangerous

Coach Frank Cantadore and his team are always a dangerous team, and he is one that always has new names to look out for. This team will have plenty of new names leading the charge, and they will always be in the discussion as a team that can make noise. 2025 Jake Benham and 2024 Sean Birmingham are two players that can knock down shots at a high rate and showed that at the Jamboree.' But others like 2025 Icare Bakadisula, and 2025 Alek Kornacki are two prospects that should have the attention of college coaches.
