Heading into Game 3 on Day 1, two powerhouses in Farmville Central and Holly Springs matched up in what looked to be an even matchup when it comes to both teams. Both have racked up some strong wins already and would love nothing more than to continue building that with a Day 1 victory. 2023 Collin Kuhl really played well to start the game, getting to the rim, finishing strong, and making his presence felt extremely well. But Farmville Central had their own star in 2023 Jah Short, who went off early on for 16 points as well to lead his team. It was a back-and-forth type feel and it remained that throughout the first half, with Holly Springs holding a 16-14 first quarter lead but Farmville Central holding a 38-37 halftime lead.
That back-and-forth feel would only continue throughout the third quarter. 2024 Ryan Crotty stepped up more for Holly Springs, while 2023 Jayden Pitt continued to play well for Farmville Central. Neither team was able to break away from each other, as Farmville Central was able to hold a 54-48 lead after three quarters.
