You constantly see player's game being described as getting downhill, attacking the rim, etc.  But there is also a ton of room for players that can absolutely light it up from beyond the arc as well.  2023 6'3 Tanner Mikulecky from Garner Road – Bryant 15u showed that he is one of those players.

Mikulecky had scouts buzzing with his showing in Rock Hill at the Queen City Showcase, as he averaged nearly 16 points per game and did almost all of his damage from behind the arc.

In his three outings, he didn't have a game in which he didn't knock down atleast four 3-pointers.  In fact, he ended up hitting 14 3-pointers over the weekend.

He absolutely is a flame thrower from deep and if he has a split second to get his shot off, he is going to let it go and you almost always think it is going in.

Our very own Jason Porter got a first glimpse of Mikulecky at the Queen City Showcase and had this to say:

'Garner Road ALWAYS has a shooter on the roster. Tanner is that gun for them this year. Nice spin/rotation on his shot, easy release, and deep range. Got lost on offensive end a few times and when he did, he made the defense pay. Pretty much a catch and shoot piece right now but when you can stroke it like that, you will find your way more often than not to the next level.'

A product at Garner high school (played on JV this past season), Mikulecky has officially entered his name into one of the top deep-threats in the class of 2023.
