Another championship Sunday here for Phenom Hoops, this time at the Phenom Summer Finale. The talent was off the charts and players came to compete for some bragging rights and some championship gear on the line.
In the 14u division, we had a TREAT on deck with two rising teams and players all throughout the floor and it was a back-and-forth type game. CSB was able to get out to a strong and take the early lead led by a balanced attack from Kendre Harrison and Max VanWeerdhuizen. But Eat 2025 National started to get right back in the game led by Chris Rivens and Isaiah Henry, to rising stars in North Carolina. Eventually, the game was tied in the final minutes. EAT 2025 National needed a late lay-up by Rivens to send the game into overtime, which is where CSB was able to control the tip and get to the line, as Beamer knocked down two free throws to win the game and championship.
