Player: Bentlee Chockley

One of the top unsigned seniors has been putting up some strong numbers this season to lead her team and more should be looking her way. 2022 5’10 Bentlee Chockley is leading the charge this season, averaging 20.8ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.7apg, 2.1spg, and shooting close to 40 percent from the field and from three.
This season, Chockley has had to step up and lead a much younger group but she has also wanted to show what she is capable of doing on the court. “I wanted to show more of how I can get to the rim and get my teammates more involved and showing that I can lead on both the offense and defense side.”
She believes that she has been able to handle the pressure of being a leader well, trying to help set an example for her teammates, playing with patience, and helping her teammates to find good looks, feel comfortable, and make plays.
With her mentality, her leadership ability, and playmaking on the court, more teams should be looking her way. Right now, credit to Barton and Montreat that have already offered but others should be taking a look as well.
“I like to shoot the three or get open for the three but I also like working my way to the basket to get a foul or get an And-1.”
“Bentlee is one of the best competitors I have ever been around. She is an extremely hard-working, very coachable, and a great team leader. Although Bentlee has put up some amazing numbers this year, she does not worry about any individual accomplishments. She always has a team-first attitude and solely cares about winning. Bentlee has had to play out of position the last two years out of necessity but has accepted the challenge and thrived in it. Elite shooter from three who can also get to the rim and finish through contact.” – Coach Kyle Reagan
