Phenom Hoops was back in Rock Hill (SC) once again for the Phenom Post Grad/ Prep Nationals, as we were looking to crown a few champions along the way.
Two very strong teams matched up for this championship, and Piedmont Classical/Combine Regional are quite familiar with each other and they were looking to go home with a bit of hardware. It was a battle to start the game, as each team was trading blows throughout. It ended up being a close game at half with Piedmont Classical holding the narrow lead. Richard Goods continued his strong play in leading the charge, while Jacob Brandly was knocking down shots and Clinton Efinda was continuing to be physical. Second half though, Piedmont was able to create a little space as time was ticking away, building up to a double-digit lead and eventually maintaining that throughout the second half. Piedmont Classical was able to walk away with the Prep Championship, winning 78-62.
