Northside Christian certainly had a memorable season last year, as they walked away with a state title.  But this is an interesting group to keep an eye on this upcoming season once again, as they return much of the core talent from last year, have another year of experience, looking to go back-to-back, and certainly will be facing another loaded schedule this upcoming season.

When you talk about this group, there are plenty of players that certainly stand out and should have your attention. Phenom Hoops got a chance to get an early viewing of what the roster may look like when the season starts, and they have the talent to watch out for.

Two leaders on the court once again will be 2024 Josh Bullock and 2024 Kyrell Shaw, two underrated prospects that have proven themselves time after time, have stepped up in big moments, and understand what it takes to get the job done. Bullock is that tough point guard that can score or facilitate; he showed that time after time last year with this team. Shaw has only continued to improve, and is much more than a shotmaker with range; he has added a lot more to his game.

Another player to really watch out for is 2027 Josiah Johnson-Freeman, as he showed us at the Team Camp that he is ready to step up even more and contribute in a big way. Whether it was his three-point shot or his mid-range, Johnson-Freeman displayed a much-improved understanding of the game and a lot more confidence. That makes us believe that he could really step up in a big way.

But this is a team that has players that step up in all facets of the game. There will be some new names to learn, as well as players returning that will only elevate their play and show their continued development. Overall though, with the staff Northside Christian has and what they bring this season, this will continue to be a team to watch out for in a big way this season.
