Forsyth Country Day

6’2″ 2024 Jahon Foster

Foster was the best player on the floor in this one, finishing with 20p and 7a, both of which were game-highs. In a game where both defenses were great, he used his handle and physicality to create space for himself and force the opponents into rotation consistently. Once he got opponents to rotate, he was able to convert on tough finishes and find open teammates for weak side jumpers or cuts. He hit jumpers when defenses left him open and was a consistent presence on the defensive end as well. When looking into his recruitment, it’s difficult to justify the lack of involvement given his productivity, physical tools, and overall identity as a prospect.

6’2″ 2027 Chris Gomez

While Gomez didn’t necessarily dominate the box score, it’s impossible to talk about this game and not mention the impact he made. He was extremely impressive as a point-of-attack defender, able to stifle the Eagles’ offense by himself on multiple possessions. He racked up a handful of deflections and was a textbook example of how to use length to create havoc. Offensively, he thrived as a connector, making the right play over and over without forcing action or getting sped up. He was remarkably comfortable given his age and the stakes of this game. Look for him to emerge as a noteworthy prospect, especially as he gets more and more attention within the Furies program.

6’4″ 2024 Iverson King (Presbyterian)

King continues to excel within his identity as a low-maintenance and versatile two-way piece. He finished with 11p and 7r in the win. His ability to fill in the gaps on both ends cannot be overstated as he has made a name for himself as an athletic, physical, and active piece on both ends. He attacked the glass and created out of closeouts at a high rate while also getting himself involved in seemingly everything defensively. Given his ability to toggle between roles, combined with his physical tools, he should translate rather seemlessly to the next level.

Gaston Christian

6’5″ 2025 Dario Williams

Williams almost single-handedly brought the Eagles back with a personal fourth-quarter run, ultimately finishing the game with 10p, 7r, and 2b. His role for the Eagles is to act as a connective and versatile piece on both ends, something that he does extremely well. He’s able to switch between most positions, using his length, instincts, and athleticism to create havoc and pressure. Offensively, he shined as a low-maintenance shooting threat while also attacking closeouts at an efficient rate. He should see his stock rise over the summer as his play style and skillset translates well to the collegiate level.

5’10” 2026 Cam Newman

Despite some shooting struggles, Newman brought his usual playmaking abilities to the table in this one by getting consistent paint touches, manipulating defenses, and making good reads. He finished with 12p, 7r, and 2a. His ability to get to his spots is incredibly noteworthy and was on full display in this one. He drew fouls at a high rate and put a ton of pressure on the opposing bigs by forcing them into foul trouble. These micro details continue to prove why he’s regarded as one of the top point guard prospects in the state.
