(1) Bertie vs. (2) Wilson Prep

This battle is easily one of the more intriguing final-four matchups across all classifications, as Bertie is enjoying their best season in nearly a decade while Wilson Prep has consistently been among the better teams in the eastern part of North Carolina since forming. Bertie has been led by senior Zy'Lee Bazemore along with a balanced grouping of Jah'Kelvin Roscoe, Trevon Halleran, Tequan Holly, and Zymiere Dempsey. Although they suffered four losses (Hertford County, Northeastern, and Washington County x2) all season, the Falcons have gone 20-1 after starting their season 6-3. On the other side, Wilson Prep just got redemption against Chatham Charter'who bumped them out of the playoffs last season. This title run is really nothing new or unforeseen, as Coach Ant Atkinson has made this team a yearly contender since taking over the program. While their record shows seven losses, it's worth noting their difficult non-conference schedule (including losses to Greenfield, Bartow, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Apex Friendship, and Farmville Central x2) in addition to a forfeited contest. They have a healthy group of battle-tested guys, led by Lez Minter Jr. Brandon Anderson, Jahmar Jones, and David Ellis.

(3) Eastern Randolph vs. (4) Bishop McGuinness

On the other side of the bracket, these two squads have quietly fought their way into the last stretch of the playoffs. Bishop McGuinness has been extremely successful under Coach Josh Thompson, and this might be their most cohesive group in recent years. The Villains suffered five losses this season, but they've all come against notable opponents: Dudley, Greensboro Day, Asheville School, North Surry, and The Burlington School. They've had nailbiters in the last two rounds against Thomasville and Mountain Heritage, but continue to take care of business behind their deep grouping of Andrew Schrage, Rio O'Hale, Jamison Graves, John Campbell, Cal Barrett, and Patrick and Nicholas Graves. There is a level of comfort knowing Coach Thompson has been here numerous times before. On the other side, Eastern Randolph enters this game not really being seen as a championship contender until now. However, it's impossible to ignore their success'especially during this playoff run. They've been legitimately rolling through teams over the last few rounds, and now prepare for their most challenging opponent of the season. It's clear that DaVonte Brooks has been a focal point for this group, but Timothy Brower has also been generating a ton of buzz through his highly productive showings. Guys like Pierce Leonard and Nicah Taylor are also key pieces for the Wildcats.
