It is the event of the weekend on the east coast.  Teams from around the state of North Carolina and premier programs around the country met under one roof for a loaded event at Methodist University.  After fans and families filled up from Thanksgiving, they got a nice dish of premier high school basketball in Fayetteville.

Throughout the day, we will be providing updates of each game along with stats.  Keep track of all the action throughout the day and the event.

Game 1: Rothesay Netherwood vs. Liberty Heights

To start the event off, these two teams battled back and forth in the first half.  Liberty Heights used a strong second quarter to hold the early 35-29 halftime lead.  It was a pretty balanced attack for Liberty Heights, as seven players got into the scoresheet while Kellen Tynes scored 13 of the 29 points for Rothesay. The offense was a struggle for Rothesay in the second half, as they shot 15 percent from the floor in the second half.  Liberty Heights did a great job on the glass as well as knocking down jumpers, helping them secure the win on Day 1.

Liberty Heights: Kahari Rogers 13pts, 8rebs/ Kamryn Edwards 11pts

Game 2: Cape Fear Christian vs. Grace Christian School

Cape Fear Christian came out strong in the starting minutes, earning an early 7-point lead but it was the size of Grace Christian School that made a difference and switched the tables.  With a combined 20 points in the first half, the size of Gibson and Itejere created some havoc but Cape Fear battled back before halftime, hitting some key three's to cut it to 41-39 at the half.

The second half though, it was the duo of Jacob Hukins and Gibson as they were able to attack inside and out, share the ball incredibly well, and expand their lead. Cape Fear had issues turning the ball over (18 total) as well as shutting down the inside game.  IN the end, Grace shot 60 percent from the floor and had 20 assists on 34 made field goals.

Southern Durham: Ricky Council 21pts, 7rebs, 6asts/ Quentin Richardson 22pts, 8rebs
Village Christian: Zavian McLean 35pts, 6rebs/ Justin Thomas 19pts, 10rebs

Game 6: Huntington Prep vs. Word of God

It was a highly anticipated matchup of the night, with high-major talent all over the floor.  These two looked to put on a show and that they did.  Huntington Prep got out early, turning up the full-court pressure and creating extra opportunities.  Word of God eventually settled down and turned up their own energy, attacking the defense to eventually cut the lead to 10 at halftime.

The battle continued in the second half, as Huntington Prep was able to run their offense through Brakefield and company.  However, Word of God never went away, continuing to battle.  Isaiah Todd and Po'Boigh King stepped up scoring but it wasn't quite enough. Both teams shot the ball well in this matchup but free throws were tough, as Word of God finished 14-for-27 from the line.

Northwood Temple was strong on the boards, led by Reggie Raynor who kept Northwood in striking distance for about half.  Moravian used balanced scoring and turned it up on the defensive end late to help increase their lead in the fourth quarter.

Shakeel Moore and Jahmari Harvey led the attack scoring-wise for Moravian, combining for x points.  The talent and balance were just too much in the end for Moravian, as they broke the game out late in the second half (9 players finished the game in the scoresheet).
