Final game of the night had two extremely strong teams going at it with Richmond vs. Fayetteville Academy squaring off.  This was a game that had the crowd buzzing and certainly plenty of fans in the stands watching.  Fayetteville Academy punched first, going inside and attacking down in the paint, which allowed them to jump a double-digit lead at the end of the first quarter.  But Richmond was able to punch right back and take the lead with under two minutes to go. 2024 Paul McNeil was the leader, but others started to get involved for Richmond, as we had a tight game at halftime. Fayetteville was able to walk in with a 34-29 lead.

In the second half, Fayetteville Academy came out strong once again, but Richmond turned the tides again with its full-court press, creating multiple turnovers and retaking the lead in the third. It was a back-and-forth affair throughout the rest of the quarter. It would remain tight throughout the fourth quarter until the final minutes. That is when Richmond was able to make some timely plays, led by McNeil’s big showing. That was enough to secure the hard-fought victory.
