Last game on the night, viewers and fans got themselves a treat as Bull City National, loaded with talent, went up against Cape Fear Christian, a team that has started off the season in tremendous fashion and looking to make a statement in Rock Hill.

It wasn't the highest scoring game in the first half but it was more of a balanced attack for Bull City Prep National, as he had several players get into the score sheet.  Luc Therrien and Treyvon Byrd led the charge, as Bull City Prep was able to capitalize out in the open floor at times. Cape Fear Christian though was tough and took some early hits but they still played strong, as Cinque Lemon led the charge but were down 30-19 at halftime.

Second half, both teams came out with some fire and neither wanted to go home with a loss; they played that way also.  Cape Fear Christian continued to stay within striking distance, play aggressive and attacking, while also knocking down a few outside shots as well. But Bull City National just seemed to answer the bell as well, continuing to get out in transition and showing their athleticism on the court.

Being down by eight points starting the fourth, Cape Fear Christian came out HARD on both ends and slowly started to chip away at the lead and eventually tied the game up; from then on, it was anyone's game.

In the final minutes, it was about who would step and the answer would be LJ Thomas for Bull City Prep.  But give it to both teams, neither team gave up and Cape Fear was able to score late off the free throw line to tie it up and send it into overtime.

In overtime, Bull City Prep was able to make enough plays to earn the hard-fought win but it was a battle throughout.

Standouts:

2022 Treyvon Byrd (Bull City Prep National): Someone has to explain to me why this young man hasn't earned more offers but he continues to work and show it all on the court. Whether it is his athleticism, high-flying plays at the rim, or his ability to step out and knock down shots, Byrd can operate anywhere on the court.

2021 Luc Therrien (Bull City Prep National): Therrien has really continued to work on his game and he now plays a tremendous role on the court. He plays hard and strong in the paint, while also getting on the boards.  But he also continues to show that this forward can step out, stretch the floor, and has a confident shooting stroke. It has been something he has worked on and is now a big help on offense.

2022 Cinque Lemon (Cape Fear Christian): Lemon provides such a tremendous balance of athleticism and versatility on the floor. He can play multiple positions on defense and operate on multiple levels.  He plays well under control and plays with an aggressive scoring mentality.

2022 6'8 Jabare Perry (Cape Fear Christian): Talk about someone that brings a physical mindset and a worker's mentality down low. He is a name that coaches need to monitor, as he works so hard down low around the rim, moves well and scores strong around the basket.
