Coach McInnis and his staff are coming off a state championship and now are looking to help lead the charge once again with Team Charlotte, a program that has been a staple in North Carolina. At the Phenom March Madness, we got a chance to get an early glimpse of what Team Charlotte 16u had to offer, as we break down their roster and what we saw in Advance.

Starting off, Team Charlotte 16u will have plenty of guards at their disposal this year. First off, you look at the tandem of 2024 Elijah Green and 2026 Cameron Newman, both of which can help initiate the offense and get after it on the defensive end. Both are strong ball-handlers and playmakers, that can score for themselves or create for others. Then you have players like 2024 JJ Rembert, 2024 Stephen Quinn, 2024 Miles Beard, and 2024 Amare Bethel, all of which bring something a little different to the court. Rembert is a quick, shifty guard that can get into the paint. Quinn can be a lethal shooter from outside as he has an unlimited range from behind the arc, Beard brings a strong body that plays with a physical attitude and that can score in a variety of ways, and Bethel is an athletic prospect that can finish at the rim and make plays on both ends of the floor.

Then you look at a little size, as 2026 Tre Raymon is one that you will want to jot down and look out for. Already 6'6, the forward has tremendous size and length, can step out and knock down shots, put it on the deck and score, and certainly has a ton of early upside. Then you have 7-footer Maya Bote, who has only continued to get better and stronger down low in the paint, bringing a big presence inside the paint on both sides of the court.

Team Charlotte certainly has some familiar names and some new ones to look out for, as they will be a program worth watching and keeping track of this summer.
