We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events over the past few years but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Chatham Lambiotte of Cape Fear Academy.

We've seen Lambiotte in various different settings, including our ENC Phenom 150 Camp prior to the season, where we stated, 'Next, we look at a player that arguably possessed the most impressive motor in attendance at camp, Chatham Lambiotte. He's a strong-bodied power forward with infectious energy, an excellent blue-collar approach, and a blossoming offensive skillset. Lambiotte is a terrific two-way rebounder that simply never quits on any possession. He showed some nice perimeter skills throughout the day but still makes the strongest impact as an interior presence. Next in his development process is continuing to tighten his handle, as it would make him a more complete offensive threat. Coach Lindell on Lambiotte: 'Chatham is a team player/grinder that is willing to do all the dirty work for his team's success. He rebounds, takes charges, dives on the floor, making post to perimeter passes exceptionally well. He keeps his head in the game and has a high motor on 'go' at all times. He needs some work on finishing strong and perimeter jumper. He has decent handles but knows his role and plays within himself.' Lambiotte has a lot of appealing tools and should only continue to progress over these next few years.'

In previous eras of basketball, the role of 'enforcer' was much more prominent across all levels. With the way things have advanced, Lambiotte has emerged as a modern day enforcer with some offensive skill. He's a big, strong, extremely active forward prospect with notable toughness and a clearly useful role on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Lambiotte is capable of cutting, working out of the post, attacking from the wing, or knocking down the spot-up jumper. His offensive approach is pretty valuable, especially upon accounting for how much he offers on defense. Lambiotte is quite agile for his size, which allows him to defend multiple positions while standing out as a rebounding threat. College coaches have already started taking notice, so it'll be exciting to see Lambiotte's development going forward.
