Going into Game 2 on the night, you just knew that the energy would be there between The Burlington School and Moravian Prep, and that is exactly what you got. Two strong and top teams here in North Carolina were looking to battle it out on the court early in the season.  Both teams were trading blows, as both teams were looking to play their style, and both got after it on both ends. We had a tie score at the end of the first quarter at 16, and that only continued in the second quarter. 2024 Zion Walker and 2027 King Gibson led the charge for TBS while 2026 Isaac Ellis was leading the way while the outside ball was falling for Moravian Prep. It remained tight throughout the first half, with Moravian Prep taking a 37-33 halftime lead.

That storyline wouldn’t change in the second half early on, as it was a punch-by-punch type game, with neither team being able to break away from each other.  Moravian Prep was able to maintain their lead after the third quarter, 48-45, but TBS came out strong to start the fourth quarter. Throughout the quarter, the game was up for grabs and this one was going to come down to the final minutes of the game.  Eli Ellis hit a big three to go up one, but Walker answered right back with a key drive.  Under a minute and a one-possession game, Eli Ellis came up big once again with a three to tie the game at 64.  TBS had one last chance to win the game, and 2025 Kaden Hammond drove and scored with five seconds remaining.

Though up two, Moravian Prep still had time left on the clock and the hero arrived, as the ball was inbounded to Eli, he was able to get to his spot, and knock down the game-winning three to secure the win 67-66.
