We headed into the afternoon and night games, as Moravian Prep and Northside Christian were back in action on Day 2 at the Carmel Tip-Off.  Moravian Prep and the outside shooting came out red hot early in the first quarter, as they were able to jump out to a quick double-digit lead. But Northside was able to settle down and get going offensively, cutting the lead to 24-18 at the end of the first quarter.

The guard play was exceptional for both teams, as both teams were knocking down shots and scoring, as well as the energy on both sides of the court.  Northside Christian started to become more aggressive and the offense continued to find success.  It is what allowed them to turn that double-digit deficit into a tied game by halftime at 34.

In the second half, Moravian Prep was able to get back to their outside shooting and get others involved, while also having some help inside and around the paint.  It is what helped them build a small lead by the end of the third quarter and maintain it for much of the fourth quarter. But as we said, this Northside Christian is a team with a lot of fight, as they were able to get down to a one-possession game with under a minute to go.  Moravian Prep looked to be in another dogfight on Day 2.

Northside had a chance at the end but came up short and Moravian Prep sealed it with two free throws at the end.
