Gam 5 on Day 2, as Forsyth Country Day was back in action to take on Cannon. Forsyth was looking to back up an impressive Day 1 victory against a Cannon team looking to bounce back from a Friday loss. Cannon came out with something to prove early on, jumping out to a quick 14-0 lead before FCDS had to call a timeout. Eventually, FCDS was able to get on the board but found themselves down 23-8 at the end of the first quarter. FCDS continued to chip away at the lead but Cannon was able to respond on several occasions, led by 2024 Austin Swartz, 2025 Isaiah Henry, and others. 2024 Iverson King was strong in the first half, but FCDS was still down at halftime, 40-23.

Cannon came out strong once again with the offense clicking from all levels, and FCDS struggled to get the ball in the basket early on as Cannon expanded their lead to 20+ points. But FCDS continued to scratch and claw, and they turned up the defense to cut the lead in half late in the third quarter. It is what turned what looked to be a blowout to a tie game by the end of regulation, as FCDS never let up or gave in. Tied at 69 and heading into overtime, the leaders stepped up in a big way for each team, with Henry and Swartz looking to hang on for the win. Cannon made some late turnovers to give FCDS a chance at the end of overtime, but 2026 Q Williams finish rolled out late and Cannon escaped with a tough 79-77 overtime victory.
