Last game of the event, Carmel Christian and Gaston Christian went to battle in this exciting and heated matchup.  Both teams came in and had their strengths, and it looked to be the leaders that would step up in this one. Carmel Christian was able to get the early lead at the end for the first quarter 12-7, with 2024 Kam Taylor and 2025 Bryce Slay leading the charge.  Gaston Christian’s big man 2024 Gabby Mabor was doing work in the paint, finishing through contact to keep his team right there at halftime, with Carmel leading 28-24.

In the third quarter, both teams were able to make runs to regain the lead, with Gaston Christian striking first behind the three-ball from 2025 Brett Freeman and company.  But Taylor had a huge quarter leading the break, attacking the basket, and scoring all over to give Carmel back the lead at the end of the third quarter, 46-37. Carmel continued to play with intensity on both sides, and Taylor continued his dominance on the court, as they were able to build upon their lead and walk away with a strong win to end the Carmel Tip-Off.
