Second game on Day 2, Berean Baptist and Caldwell Academy matched up in an interesting matchup with some high-level talent on the court.  Caldwell was able to come out of the gate strong led by its leader in 2025 Jaylen Cross, and that would continue to be a storyline throughout this game.  They were able to grab the narrow 14-9 lead, but Berean Baptist started to get going behind Antrell Gilmore. His play helped cut the lead to 23-20 at halftime.

Remember when we said Jaylen Cross would be a storyline in this game; he continued his strong play and energy throughout the second half on his way to a double-double for his team.  But other players were able to chip in, as this was a low-scoring, grind-it-out game in the second half. 2024 J3 Swindell and 2026 Ayden Johnson were able to help Caldwell extend its lead at the end of the third.  Caldwell held the ball and made Berean work on the defensive end in the fourth quarter, as they were able to hold on and seal the game from the line late.
