The 4A NCISAA Division was tremendous last year in North Carolina and there is no doubt about it, this division should be strong once again. When diving into the division overall, Christ School comes in really strong after winning the title last year and they certainly have enough to do so again. But another program that I would look at strong as a clear title contender again is Cannon led by head coach Che Roth.

Coach Roth understands what it takes to lead a team to a title and after going 28-7 overall last year, we got a strong feeling that this team has a little bit of a chip on their shoulders.  Last year, Cannon fell to No. 6 seed Ravenscroft at home but they have strong talent returning once again that should make this team exciting once again.

When you dive into this roster, you first have to start with the star of 2024 Austin Swartz.  One of the most prolific scorers in the country, Swartz is an elite bucket-getter and has shown that consistently over the years.  It is why schools from all over the country are recruiting him hard, as he can score from all levels and plays with a ton of confidence.  But he will have his sidekick as well in 2025 Isaiah Henry, who really elevated his game last year, attacking and finishing strong around the basket, scoring from multiple levels, and really stepping up as an impact player.

2025 Jaylen Claggett will be another huge piece again for Cannon, as he has continued to develop nicely, plays within the offense and is a high IQ type guard that can be a scoring impact as well. 2024 6
