Dating back nearly four years, Bradin Minton surfaced at our Jr. Tennessee Phenom 150 Camp as a young, somewhat unassuming middle school prospect. While the lefty showed natural instincts and an enticing foundation, few people could've expected him to turn into such an electric setup artist and overall floor general. Minton impressed at the Teammate Nationals last summer, but has gotten even better since then. Over the last month, he and his East Tennessee Kings squad have been quietly destroying opponents. While their roster has numerous next-level prospects, like Andrew Knittel and Dawson Arnold amongst various others, Minton always seems to stand out as the clear leader. So, what does he bring to the table'

Well, Minton is typically multiple steps ahead of others and simply sees the game unfold in a different manner than most players. He knows his intentions on every possession and has the necessary abilities to pretty much get wherever he wants on the court. Minton is so crafty and deceptively shifty, making him quite difficult for opponents to consistently keep in front. He touches the paint seemingly whenever he wants, where he's shown the sharp vision to set up others with regularity or finish through a variety of tough moves. Minton actually has a reliable move to draw fouls when attacking: breaking down the point of attack, getting the defender on his hip, and extending his arm so quickly that opponents seemed to foul every time he tried it. He's an efficient all-around scorer and will assert himself as needed, but truly looks to get others involved as much as possible. Minton is the type of player who shines with quality teammates.

Since he's tucked away in Church Hill, Tennessee, most people still don't even really know about Minton and his savvy as a point guard. However, that seems almost guaranteed to change over the next calendar year. Minton already stands out as an incredibly impressive force with the East Tennessee Kings and should have no issue emerging as a leader for Volunteer High School going forward.
