A monster matchup to end the night on Day 2 in Rock Hill, as Sunrise Christian traveled to take on Lake Norman Christian. Both teams brought high-major talent to the floor and the fans were rolling in to see a show. Sunrise made the first punch, led by the play of Kendall Brown, Kennedy Chandler, and Gradey Dick, all scoring in double-figures in the first half.
Lake Norman was knocked back a little, facing a double-digit deficit in the first half but Trey Green and AJ Allenspach led the charge for their team, combining for 20 of the team's 32 first-half points. However, they found themselves in a hole at the end of the first half, being down 49-32.
In the second half, Sunrise continued to play their game and increase their lead to over 20 points in the third quarter. But give it to Lake Norman and company, as they never gave up and eventually cut the lead down to as many as 11 points late in the fourth quarter, led by Trey Green and company. But the damage was done early and it was just too much in the end to overcome. However, both of these teams came and competed and gave the fans a show.
