Stacks is a dynamic combo guard. He is electric off the bounce attacking the lane, a fierce finisher, and can score at will over almost anyone. Stacks can be crafty and creative, but I love his spin move a lot. It’s pretty nasty for punishing defenders because he has serious athleticism. Stacks can be a handful once he gets inside. There he has awesome court vision and can find the open man anywhere on the floor. Unselfish will to keep the hot man rolling.
Stacks is aggressive in mixing it up on the boards as well. Defensively, Stacks is rock solid. He can guard 1-4 with ease because of his speed, athleticism, and leaping ability, even at the 5-spot depending on the size. He takes more pride in his defense than anything else and always wants to defend the best player on the other side. He has a warrior mentality and no quit or back down in him. Opponents must bring their best just to compete with his energy and hustle fueled by the passion to win.
In the AAU session he averaged 14pts, 6rebs, and 3asts. During the school summer session, he averaged 24 points a game and had multiple 30-point games. Stacks worked hard to improve his shooting and by the end of the summer, it was evident it was working. Last season he averaged 19pts, 9 rebs, and 3asts. This upcoming season, he set his goal to hit 1500 hundred career points, being at 900 right now.
Of course, the ultimate goal is to lead his team to a state championship. Coaches should know Stacks will bring a strong work ethic to match that warrior mentality and gritty tough defensive swagger with that unquenchable drive to win. He isn’t focused on what division level, just wants to continue to play on the next level. Stacks certainly has all the skills and IQ to accomplish that desire. The program that gets will get an unknown gem that will blossom and shine bright as a big impact on that program. Hey to Hickman County this season is going to be a fun ride.
