The Queen City Showcase in Rock Hill this weekend is going to be off the charts.  With talent all on the floor, livestreams streaming the games, and a ton of coverage from Phenom Hoops, this is going to be one of the best events to start the travel ball season.

That is why we wanted to get a leg up on it, as we spoke to several coaches that will be bringing their teams to South Carolina this weekend.  Below, we look at a few players that you may want to check out on the court, whether you are a college coach, a scout, or a fan.

Check out a few names below for each team.

Team: Team Synergy 16u

Expect big things from Team Synergy this Travel Season. Let’s start by looking at their 16U Team, led by 2024 5’11 Delani Hammonds (playing up a grade). The Ardrey Kell High shifty PG displays exceptional ball-handling and play-making capabilities. Because of his ability to knock down the 3 and get into the paint, he’s able to set up teammates with open shots.

This brings me to his running mate, 2023 6’1 Evan Morton from state champs Weddington high school. Evan is one of their leading scorers and is an elite defender. Exceptional 3 point shooter with a quick release and plays with a high motor. One to watch in the deep 2023 class.

Opposite wing of Evan is 2023 6’4 Brock Rose from State Runner ups Ardrey Kell. Brock is an elite shooter that averages 3 made 3’s a game. Also has a quick trigger for a shot. Synergy runs nice sets to get him open shots that he knocks down with consistency. Now let me mention 2023 6’6 Sean Rose from Porter Ridge. The long lefty wing can shoot the 3 ball, guard multiple positions, and rebounds at a high clip. With his long wingspan, he’s able to block taller player’s shots and get his hands on a lot of rebounds.

Last but knock least is the speedy combo guard 2023 5’11 Donevin Knight from Lausanne Collegiate High in Memphis. Donevin’s speed causes disruption on defense, leads the team in steals and on offense pushes the ball at a high tempo keeping the defense backpedaling the whole time. a lot of nice talent on this team that plays like a team. Currently, the team is averaging 17 Assist a game so they love to share the ball and make the easy play. A fun team to watch.
