Phenom Hoops likes to shed light on players having an outstanding year and one player that is leading one of the premier programs in the state is 2022 Cade Tyson at Carmel Christian.  The Cougars are off to an undefeated season and Tyson is proving to not only be the leader but one of the go-to players for his team; he is having an outstanding season.

Already committed to Belmont, Tyson is proving that he is one of the top players in the state, averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.4 assists per game so far. That also includes his outstanding shooting percentages, knocking down 67 percent of his shots inside the arc, 44 percent from three, and 82 percent from the free-throw line.

Tyson has already had some memorable performances early on, including a 48-point outburst vs. Rabun-Gap, a 32-point showing vs. Cary Academy, a 26-point outburst vs. Providence Day (needing every point in the win), and several other strong showings.

Coming in, it was going to be interesting to see how Tyson would step up after the key losses Carmel Christian from last year's team and he has answered the bell in a big way.  Tyson's ability to score the ball in a variety of ways makes him a matchup nightmare; his ability to be a big 3-point threat, to put it on the deck and create for himself, use his size to finish strong and get on the boards, and his overall IQ on the court makes it easy to see why so many regard him as one of the top prospects in the state.

And he is showing up and proving himself for the Cougars in a big way to start the season.
