Lady Phenom is looking around the region and looking to spotlight players, and a young freshman that we have talked about before is continuing to elevate and develop her game, and college programs are looking to come quickly. 2027 Khalia Hartwell was one that we saw early in seventh grade, and it was easy to see with her size and ability, she had a chance to be a big name in the Class of 2027.

Now at Westside High School down in South Carolina, she has helped the Rams to an 18-3 record this season and is nearly averaging a double-double, being a force both offensively and defensively. She is averaging 10 points and eight rebounds per game, while also averaging nearly four blocks per game. It is no surprise in her impact on the court, standing at 6’5 now and being an absolute force offensively in scoring around the paint but also as a paint protector. Here is how she described her game last year with Lady Phenom:

“I’m an ultimate rim protector and shot blocker, and I feel like I make it hard for my opponents to score on me with my length. I also feel like I’m a versatile post player that can step out and hit a jump shot when given the chance.”

There is no doubt about it, Hartwell has a chance to be something special and should be ranked as one of the premier talents in the country in her class. And, as mentioned above, schools are looking already as she earned her first Power-5 offer from Mississippi State. She has also taken visits to schools like Auburn, Georgia Tech, and others, while also holding other offers as well. However, this is her first high-major offer but don’t expect that to be the last, as she will be a big-time target for many schools in the coming years.
