If you are looking in the class of 2026, Jordan Smith Jr. from Paul VI will be a name you hear a lot about and he is quickly gaining the attention of college coaches all around the country. We watched this young man recently at the Hoophall Classic back in January, where he impressed with his energy, his ability to get to his spots and rise up, and his strong athleticism at the rim. After the event, we had this to say:

“I liked what I saw from Smith on Monday, finishing 7-for-10 from the floor with 17 points. Smith was able to get to his spots on the court to knock down shots, doing much of his work inside the arc but also is a strong/athletic guard that can finish with the best of them at the rim. Really liked his overall energy and willingness to compete. He holds several offers and should be coveted by several programs down the road.”

Smith was part of a tremendous season so far for his team, as they were recently crowned WCAC Champions, and they are hoping for more. All throughout the season though, Smith said that he has continued to put in the work and his confidence level continues to rise. “The season has been good,” Smith said back in January with Phenom Hoops. “I have been improving my confidence and my will to become a leader.”

And when asking Smith about his game, here is what he had to say about how he would describe his game.

“Playing hard, defending, getting to my spots, and energy.”

As mentioned above, Smith already holds some impressive offers on his list but this should just be the start of his recruitment. Holding several offers already, his latest offer came from Houston, a school he is excited about.

“My thoughts on the Houston offer is that I’m just proud of how my work is showing but I can’t be satisfied. The Houston program plays just like how my high school plays; fast, hard, and defends.”

Smith mentioned that Houston has been showing interest in the last few weeks, and they would be a program he would be interested in visiting down the road. As of right now, he has only been on two visits, one to Georgetown and the other to Maryland.

Smith is a player to learn about and watch now, as he should be regarded as one of the top prospects in the country for the Class of 2026.
