Every single year, there are players that one can consider as a “breakout” player and boy, do we have one for you that should start garnering more interest from college programs. 2025 6’5 KJ Younger has been having a tremendous season at Weddington, putting up impressive numbers. So far, averaging nearly 23 points and nine rebounds per game, Younger has been an absolute force for his team, but he is one that we saw potential with his game over a year ago.
Back in 2022, we had this to say about Younger when he was a newer name who had a chance to blossom into a worthy player.

Younger brings a ton of production to the court with his physical frame, and is more than willing to mix it up, be a menace down in the paint, and bully through defenders offensively and defensively. One can see his game is really coming together and he understands what he is and how he can be used. Younger knows how to finish through defenders and get to the line, be strong and effective on the boards, and find ways to be versatile on the court.
