Unless you have not been following Phenom Hoops or high school basketball in North Carolina, you have heard of the name Austin Swartz, as he has been lighting it up and leading the charge for Cannon this season.

2024 6'5 Austin Swartz has proven to be one of the premier prospects in the state and should be moving up the ranks on a national level with what he does; an elite shotmaker, a playmaker with vision, and a scorer, Swartz has proven to be one of the elites around the region.

Which is why his recruitment should continue to take off.  Not long ago he received an offer from Illinois, another offer to add to his list but he also recently made a trip to Raleigh to visit NC State as the Wolfpack took on Duke.

He spoke about the visit and walking away with an offer from the Wolfpack.

Also, Swartz mentioned that he has been receiving new interests from Tennessee, Miami, and Mississippi State.

Thoughts on NC State offer and visit:

'It was great,' Swartz said.  'NC State played an amazing game, (Terquavion) Smith started off hot and the whole team followed him. The atmosphere was crazy, everyone was hyped including the bench. It was good to talk to the coaching staff in person for the first time. The offer is huge, the way NC State plays I think complements my game tremendously. I could see myself there one day and I believe Coach Keatts does a great job with guards and getting them to the next level.'

Swartz says that his relationship with the staff at NC State is just starting. 'It is still in the beginning stages of the process with them, but it has been good so far. I've been talking to Coach Justus for a couple of months now.'
