2023 Braden Pierce continues to be a target for many schools and in the month of June, he was able to make multiple visits to NC State (where he eventually received an offer), Florida State, and Georgia, while also making a brief stop at Georgia Tech.

Phenom Hoops spoke to Pierce about those visits and what he liked about the three schools he was able to really check out and learn more about. See what he had to say.

Offers: NC State, Rutgers, South Florida, Stetson, Georgia State, Illinois State, IUPUI, East Carolina, and Kennesaw State

NC STATE: “The intensity of the practice really stood out to me. We were able to get a bunch of work in and get better in only an hour of practice. The staff let me know that they really liked my game and that I would be someone that could really help their program in the next couple of years. I was impressed by the great facilities, the history of the program, and the way the coaches really focused on developing the bigs.”

Florida State: “The energy and vibe of the practice were the two big things that stood out to me during their practice, just felt like the team had a great time playing there. The staff told me that they saw me play a little bit in the spring and feel like I would fit well in their system, but they want to watch me play a little bit more in July before offering me. The attention to detail the coaches had really stood out to me; really good coaching staff.”

Georgia: “The new additions to the team really stood out in practice, they have a lot more length on the team last year and I think they will make a big jump this year in the SEC. The staff told me that they will be at most of my games in July and at IMG. The new staff at UGA really impressed me, really good staff.”

He will now gear up for what he hopes to be a big July, preparing for the LIVE periods and finishing out the summer strong.
