Phenom Hoops recently put out a few articles looking at a few underrated seniors and 2020 guard Isaac Parson was on top of the list.

Phenom Hoops’ Jeff Bendel had this to say when talking about Parson:

“It’s honestly somewhat crazy to see Parson’s name on this list, considering where he lives and attends school. Kinston has been known for its ability to develop and produce high-level talent, which makes Parson’s recruitment even more confusing. After becoming a qualifier within the last few weeks, he should’ve been absolutely flooded with scholarship offers… Parson has all the tools to collect at least another dozen prior to graduation. His IQ and toughness are arguably his most desirable qualities but add in his phenomenal leadership, decision-making, and balance between scoring and playmaking, and he should be a priority for a variety of programs. Parson is also a terrific defender with quickness and sharp anticipation instincts. It’s still early in the season but with the numbers he’s putting up on a nightly basis, it would be difficult to imagine anything other than a ton of schools getting involved very soon.”

Well now, Parson has earned his first two offers coming after his play at the John Wall Holiday Invitational.  Mount Olive and Winston-Salem State are on board with Parson and the senior guard couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities.

Mount Olive: “They loved how I played and they had seen me play enough.  They were very excited and they wanted to run a two-guard set and I was very excited.”

WSSU: “They really like how I played and how I ran the team, along with playing with energy.”

Mount Olive has been showing interest since this summer and is close to his home, while Parson also mentioned that he knows several people from Kinston that have gone to Winston.

These are just two that are now on the board for Parson but he has also received interest from Wingate, Coker, USC-Aiken, UNC-Wilmington, and Queens University.

“They like my playmaking ability and my ability to be a floor general/leader.  (They also like) my ability to get in the paint and make plays.”

Right now, he has only made a visit to Wingate but has not set up any future visits.
