We continued the day with an intense matchup between 1of1 Academy and Winston Salem Christian National, two teams that bring a lot of talent to the floor and were looking to battle it out throughout. All throughout the first half, these teams were trading blows and baskets, as neither team was able to break away from each other. The game was tied at the end of the first quarter at 15, and eventually 1of1 was able to hold the narrow 34-33 halftime lead.  2024 Isaiah Washington led the charge with his outside shooting for WS Christian, while 2024 Sebastian Akins and 2025 Taye Smith were hitting from outside as well.

The second half was just the same as the first half. Winston Salem Christian was able to make the first move in bringing a bit of separation in the game, but 1of1 Academy was able to answer right back. Back and forth we went, with both teams trading baskets. WS Christian was able to attack with their size, while the guard play excelled in the second half for 1of1. We ultimately ended the fourth tied at 62, as we went into overtime.

It didn’t take one overtime but two to ultimately decide this game. Timely plays late for Winston Salem ultimately sealed a hard-fought victory at the George Lynch
