2023 Derin Saran (Asheville School) had another strong showing in this game. The senior point guard has had a great start to the season, showing why he is one of the top point guards in the region. He was able to really get going offensively after the first quarter, creating well off the dribble, getting into the paint consistently, and finding ways to showcase his touch and feel inside the arc as well as get to the line. It is easy to see why so many schools are looking his way with his feel with the basketball, along with his IQ and playmaking ability. Also really like his defensive presence, something he doesn
