Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the Seattle-like piedmont! The Sadster is here to release his latest Furious 5 rankings. Last week saw the rise of South Meck into the standings as they went 2-1 in the playoffs. Meanwhile, neither Independence nor Rocky River wanted any part of a rematch as both lost in the 1st round. Coupled with Myers Park’s 1st round loss, the SW 4A went 0-3 in states in 2021. This week brings us to a true Furious 5 title game Tuesday in the regional finals as #2 Ardrey Kell entertains #1 North Meck. These two have been 1 and 2 all season, both are unbeaten and all of the other teams are done. To the 5!!!!!!
1. NORTH MECK – THE VIKINGS HEAD TO THE KASTLE AT ARDREY KELL, AFTER WINNING THE CIVIL WAR WITH SOUTH MECK.
2. ARDREY KELL – THE KNIGHTS HOST NORTH MECK IN THE REGIONAL FINALS AS WELL AS THE F5 TITLE GAME.
3. SOUTH MECK – GOOD PLAYOFF RUN AFFORDS THE SABRES OF A #3 FINISH. SEASON COMPLETE.
4. HOUGH – THE HUSKIES FELL IN THE 2ND ROUND TO SOUTH. SEASON COMPLETE.
5. INDEPENDENCE – THE PATRIOTS WERE TROUNCED IN THE 1ST ROUND BY SOUTH. SEASON COMPLETE.
