2026 Trey Thompson of Greenville High School in Tennessee and with Tennessee Impact, is a phenomenal athlete. This gem checks every box and is a dominant force on both ends. Thompson has amazing footwork with back to the basket at 6’8. With a beautiful post-game and an array of crafty finishing moves and a fierce finisher. Furthermore, his defense is impressive on and off the ball, and serves as a rim protector.
Thompson runs the floor extremely well and can drop a mean dime as a facilitator. This star can do it all very well, even knocking down the deep three. For the tournament in Lake Point at the US Basketball where he led his team to the championship trophy, Thompson averaged 15 pts, 6.6 rebs, 1.8stls, 1.6blks, and 1.2asts per game. And that was on a loaded team. More importantly, he has elevated his skills all summer.
Compare to his season stats from last year where he averaged 16.9pts, 9.2rebs, .8stls, .9blks, and .9asts, all while shooting 43.6 percent from three, 50.1 percent from two, and 80.3 percent from the free throw line. There is a tremendous ceiling before him as he is getting better and better. Already gaining interest from D1 schools, his stock will continue to rise. I was so impressed the first time I caught his show that words can’t express the potential of greatness I see in this kid. Get to Greenville High School
