One of the premier talents here in the state of North Carolina, 2025 Tre McKinnon was one of several players that recently made a visit to NC State to check out the facilities and talk with the staff. McKinnon, a high-flying athletic prospect from Lake Norman, was able to enjoy himself in Raleigh as he discussed with Phenom Hoops about his visit and what he was able to take away from it all. He also talks about his next upcoming visit.
Phenom: How was your overall visit to Raleigh and NC State' What did you get to do and see while here'
McKinnon: The visit to Raleigh was amazing, it was definitely mind-blowing. We toured the whole campus, we went through both arenas, and I got to meet the whole coaching staff. We went through the basketball facilities, and it was really nice.
Phenom: What did you talk about with the staff while there'
McKinnon: Just how all of them are interested in me and how they are going to keep watching me through school ball and practice.
Phenom: What did they say they liked about your game'
McKinnon: What they said they liked about my game is how athletic I am and my potential. They are very interested.
Phenom: How long have they been showing interest your way'
McKinnon: They have been showing interest since the second LIVE period.
Phenom: What all stood out overall about the visit in your eyes'
McKinnon: What stood out about my overall visit is how every one of their players has tutors and how their gym is always open, and almost every time there is a coach there to train you at any time.
