Player: Lauren Jacobs
Class: 2025
Position: Guard

Lady Phenom had an excellent weekend checking out the talent on the courts at the #PhenomLadyRumble, bringing talent from all over the region to Rock Hill. And we can’t wait to highlight some of the teams and players we saw, but the first player that we were eager to check out again was 2025 Lauren Jacobs with Palmetto 76ers A’ja Wilson 17u.

This is a player that grabbed our attention this time last year before the offers started to roll in. We had this to say about her game in last year’s Lady Rumble:

“This was my first time watching Jacobs, but I’m a huge fan of her game after what I saw this weekend, and think she is going to be a bigger name in South Carolina. Helping her team to a state title, she was locked in and really showcased her overall game and impact.  When talking about her game, she quickly grabs your attention with her playmaking ability; she did a great job in creating for herself, penetrating and making plays in the paint, and really showed how crafty she is with the ball in her hands.  But she also did a great job in other areas such as playmaking for others, playing scrappy defense, and simply filling up the stat sheet.  Start learning her name if you haven’t, as she really impressed me in a big way this weekend.”

She was back on the court again, and she proved to us once again that we were right on point with her game and she has only gotten better. Jacobs looks like a high-major guard on the court; just give her the ball and she can make things happen. She is excellent in being able to create for herself, showing tremendous craftiness, the ability to get by defenders, attack and finish over defenders, and really fill it up even when the defense is surrounding her. She has a tremendous skillset overall and IQ, showing that she can make plays and break down defenders herself and excel out in transition but also make plays for others.
