Two title contenders collide on Day 2

Mid-way through the afternoon on Saturday, fans will get a chance to watch two teams that are coming off appearances in title games last year, as Greensboro Day came up short in the 4A title game and Concord Academy took home the 3A title last year. Now, both teams are in the 3A division and these two could be looking to battle it out again down the road for a state title. But they first meet up to open the season, with Coach Johnson and the Bengals looking to continue their success against a revamped Concord Academy with talent as well.  This game should be a highly intense showdown.

Two teams to watch out for more, seeing more of what they have

Fans will get a great opportunity to see what Northside Christian has on Day 1 and once again on Day 2.  With a team that not only has a few new names and a new coaching staff, we should be able to get a great glimpse of what NCA has to offer after the weekend. But players like 2023 Antonio Perkins and 2024 Josh Bullock will look to lead the charge.  Westminster Catawba is another, losing some strong talent from last season but it now gives others a chance to step up even more, including 2023 Derek Bradley and 2024 Nick Hamrick.

It is a great weekend and event to really get a great understanding of what these two teams have to offer and what kind of noise they can make this season.

Combine Academy vs. 1of1 Prep should be a battle

This is a game that could get heated… 1of1 Prep brings a young, up-and-coming team along with veteran talent as well that would like nothing more to make noise early on here in North Carolina. They have proven themselves and have been together for quite some time now since this summer; as well as having some strong talent and depth.  They will be going up against Coach Wright and Combine which has some of the top players in the state but will also be coming off a big battle on Friday.  Knowing the staff, the players, and the energy behind this game, this game should get heated.
