It was Championship Sunday and that only means that teams were going to go home with some hardware. It had been a tremendous event and the players and coaches really came out to compete, but only a few teams could go home with a trophy.
Both teams were coming off tough wins right before and after a long weekend, they wanted to end it right. Rip City 2024 and NC Rim Runners left it all out on the court, so first of all, huge props to both teams. This was a clsoe one throughout. Both teams used a balanced offensive attack, getting multiple players in the action on both sides. At halftime, it was Rip City 2024 that held the narrow 31-26 lead. The tight battle would continue throughout the second half and ultiamtely came down to the final seconds. Rim Runners hit a big bucket at the end to close within one but the clock ran out and Rip City 2024 took home the hard-fought 58-57 win.
