Phenom Hoops was excited to tune into ESPN 2 to watch Lake Norman Christian travel to Oak Hill in a game loaded with talent. Both teams battle throughout the game, but it was Oak Hill that came away with the home win. But here are a few of our thoughts from the game.

One point guard in the state of Virginia has been putting in the work and looking to prove himself as a player. Now, with his recruitment picking up and visits being set, he is proving the be a hot target for high-major programs.
Spending this past weekend in Mechanicsville, VA, I had a chance to again check out the Team Loaded AAU organization, who brought their absolute A-game. Of course, one could expect this when considering the fact that Team Loaded happened to also be a co-host with ‘Big Shots’ for the annual ‘Big Shots Team Loaded’ tournament. Man, have I enjoyed covering high school hoops for the last several months. With the 2019 season officially coming to an end this weekend (3/9), I decided to put together a list of superlatives for the Richmond, VA area’s talent. In the case of pretty much every basketball season, this season has flown by. Each hoops season can take up to about 4-5 months, longer than most other sports, but I can’t believe we’re already in January. It’s almost like high...
